Restaurants and local places to eat

In Tysnes we are sure you will find something to your taste!

Haaheim Gaard

Haaheim Gaard is known for its unique and personal atmosphere, offering delicious food made from seasonal ingredients. The hotel has its own gardener who transforms the garden into a larder, harvesting herbs, vegetables, fruits, and berries. The restaurant has several rooms in different styles and sizes, and the tables are set with damask tablecloths, cloth napkins, candelabras, and flowers.

Lunch and dinner can be booked in advance every day. In July, there is drop-in lunch. You can also book garden parties in the gazebos, built on the English traditions of afternoon tea.

The chefs vary the menu from day to day; see more information at haaheimgaard.no.

Mandelhuset

Like a white pearl, right on the waterfront in Våge, lies Mandelhuset.

The three old white houses with green mouldings on the old steamboat quay, used to be a general store and quay for the fjord boats. Now the place has been transformed into a warm and cosy restaurant where the kitchen uses Norwegian ingredients to conjure up great dining experiences for you and yours.

The current owners have been running Mandelhuset since 2005, but Mandelhuset came into being in 1995 when the country store closed down in 1994 after being in operation since 1923.
